Week 3 of practicum

Practicum so far has been a lot of fun. It’s been interesting so far learning about new students other then my own. I have seen many personalities that are similar to students that I have in my past. I have seen students that range the spectrum from those who have BD plans or IEPs to Gen Ed students. All of them have the same needs but they need to be taught things differently. Some of them like my student Josh need extra attention when you’re helping him, where another student Sasha doesn’t want you to help them at all other then clarifying information. I have liked seeing the spreed of students and how at times there are overlaps to kids I have seen in my past as a Para.

I also found it cool how each science 🧪 teacher decorates their classrooms differently. A few are barley decorated to others have maps, equipment, equations, and even classroom pets in their rooms. I think having pets in the classroom can help students relate and have more fun when it comes to understanding science 🧫🧬🧪 I have decided to also add a few photos at the end of this blog of a classroom pet named Toothless who is a bearded dragon
